ULDS

A unit load device (ULD) is a bed or container used to stack baggage, cargo, and mail on a wide-body aircraft and a narrow-body aircraft. It enables large volumes of payload to be packaged into a single unit. Since this results in fewer units to load, it saves ground team time and effort, and prevents flight delays. Each ULD has its own packing list or manifest so that its contents can be tracked.
